This site is free to read because advertisers pay for it. Here is exactly how that works, in plain language.

What a partner link is

A partner link — also called an affiliate link — is a commercial link. Every one of them on this site is labelled “partner link” on the button itself, and every one carries the attributes rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" so that search engines and automated tools can also identify it as advertising.

When you follow one, you pass through a short redirect page on this domain (/c/1/) and arrive at the advertiser or its advertising network. If you then install the advertised application, the advertiser may pay us a commission.

What it costs you

Nothing. The commission is paid by the advertiser out of its own marketing budget. The price of anything you later choose to buy in the advertised game is identical whether you arrived through our link or typed the game’s name into a store search.

What advertising does not change

Our editorial policy sets out the separation in full, including the list of things we refuse to publish at any price.

What the redirect page does

The page at /c/1/ is a plain HTML page. It carries no cookie, no pixel and no analytics. It forwards campaign parameters that are already present in the address you arrived with (for example a click identifier added by an ad platform) so that the advertiser can attribute the visit, and then sends your browser onwards. It is excluded from search engines in robots.txt because it is a redirect, not a page worth reading.
